Join our Team as a Corporate Services Officer

We are a leading Not for Profit organisation with a service delivery area spanning from Wollongong to Eden, across to the Snowy Mountains.

Comprising 8 offices and over 75 employees, we own and manage over $1 billion worth of assets, over 2,300 dwellings housing over 5,000 people.

We are currently seeking a proactive and innovative Corporate Services Officer to elevate SCH's public and internal communications. As the first point of contact, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating public enquiries, feedback, appeals, and complaints—ensuring timely, respectful, and compliant responses. You will also drive internal collaboration by developing branded materials, maintaining our online presence, coordinating training content, and boosting staff engagement.

In addition, you'll oversee our leasehold property program—facilitating effective communication between landlords, agents, and internal teams to ensure seamless processes and uphold SCH’s reputation. You’ll further enhance our brand image through the creation of original marketing content, social media management, and advertising campaigns.

If you excel in stakeholder engagement, content creation, and are an expert at cross functional coordination in a diverse range of areas—and want to make a real impact then this role is for you!

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Manage the organisation’s Feedback - Enquiries, Appeals & Complaints handling process in accordance with SCH policies and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure consistent branding, data governance, and document compliance across all communication.

• Develop and maintain digital and printed content for internal and external use.

• Lead internal communications to improve staff engagement and awareness.

• Coordinate the routine review and development of new training resources via our learning management system

• Oversee leasehold program delivery, including landlord liaison, property onboarding, and compliance.

• Conduct annual market rent reviews and contribute to financial reporting and affordability analysis.

Selection Criteria: to be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, or service delivery within a community services, government, or not-for-profit environment.

• Experience managing feedback, complaints, or public enquiries, including tracking, resolution and reporting.

• Proven ability to create, format, and manage both digital and printed content, ensuring branding and compliance with organisational standards.

• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality documents, training materials, reports, and visual communications.

• Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering outcomes under pressure and within deadlines.

• Understanding of data governance principles, including privacy, access control, and responsible data handling practices.

• High-level interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Teams, and content tools such as Canva, InDesign, or similar platforms.

• Willingness to travel between regional offices as required.

Essential Qualifications and Licensing:

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, design, community services, or a related field.

• Current NSW Drivers licence

• Current Working with Children Check clearance (will be arranged by SCH)

• Criminal record check providing suitable clearance to work with vulnerable members of the community (will be arranged by SCH)

Desirable

• Experience working within the Social Housing or Not-for-Profit sector.

• Experience using Learning Management Systems and CRM platforms.

• Graphic design experience in developing accessible flyers, posters, and public-facing content.

• Knowledge of CHLP leasehold or rent review reporting requirements.

About the Role & Perks of the Job:

• A permanent (35 hrs p.w.) role located in our Nowra office.

• Typically, your hours would be worked over 5 days – however, SCH offers flexibility to our staff, providing you with the option to work your hours in 4 days. If that’s not for you, instead you have the opportunity to accrue and utilise time in lieu (TIL).

• Working for a registered charity (and PBI) you will have access to salary sacrifice (up to the ATO threshold) which can increase your ‘take home’ pay by thousands of dollars.

• Paid study leave program – supporting you to progress at SCH and expand your knowledge.

• Recognition & Rewards program – rewarding our high achievers!

• Annual retreats – to forge positive working relationships with your peers and give everyone an opportunity to contribute to our organisation’s future strategies.
