Job Title: Vehicle Accessory Fitter & Warehouse Assistant
Location: East Coast Distribution Centre

Position Overview
This is a practical, dual-role position supporting both workshop fitting operations and general warehouse duties. As a Vehicle Accessory Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting premium accessories to 4x4 vehicles and assisting with warehouse tasks including order fulfilment, stock handling, and container unloading. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and experienced in both workshop and warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Fitting & Assembly
• Install a range of 4x4 accessories (e.g. trays, canopies, bull bars lighting, underbody protection, and suspension components).
• Read and interpret fitting instructions, drawings, and workshop job cards.
• Conduct basic mechanical work using hand and power tools with a high degree of care and accuracy.
• Perform pre- and post-installation quality checks to ensure all work meets Auto Spec 4x4 standards.
• Work closely with the workshop supervisor to plan daily fit-outs and manage workflow priorities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area.
Warehouse Operations
• Assist in receiving, organising, and storing stock.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate a forklift (if licensed) to load and unload vehicles and containers.
• Ensure stock is labelled and stored properly to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support regular stocktakes and report discrepancies or damage.
• Help with safe and timely unloading of shipping containers to avoid delays or demurrage fees.
Health & Safety Compliance
• Follow all OHS guidelines and ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Wear appropriate PPE and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Identify and report any safety concerns to management immediately.
• Ensure safe manual handling practices are followed across both workshop and warehouse duties.
Qualifications & Skills
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive accessory fitting.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Valid forklift license (preferred).
•Experience with automotive 12v accessories fitment.
• High attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Basic understanding of inventory and order fulfilment processes.
Additional Requirements
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and performing manual tasks.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as required to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new skills and assist in other areas of the business as needed.
