About the role:

Invest SA attracts and connects local and global investors, industry leaders, and research partners with South Australia's investment opportunities and strategic networks --driving growth across the state's key economic sectors.

The Investment Support team enhances the work of Invest SA by supporting compelling investment attraction strategies - through policy and economic analysis, promoting events and investment opportunities, developing bespoke investment proposals and responses, and managing complex projects.

As a Client Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping South Australia's investment narrative. You will support the development of compelling investment and trade proposals, business cases, and strategic documents that showcase the state's globally competitive capabilities. Working closely with sector-focused business evelopment teams, you'll translate complex data and insights into persuasive, audience-appropriate materials that attract investment and trade opportunities.

In this role, you will:

Act as an internal consultant, providing strategic development support to business development teams.

Develop high-quality bid documents, tender responses, and business cases tailored to priority international markets.

Translate technical reports and verbal briefings into clear, concise executive summaries and visual data presentations.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document client development requirements.

Coordinate professional editing and production of complex documents for diverse audiences.

Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform briefings for senior executives and the Minister for Trade and Investment.

Key Competencies:

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

Strong ability to distil complex information into executive-level summaries.

Proficiency in developing visual representations of key data sets.

Advanced computing skills, including CRM systems, digital engagement tools, and data analysis software.

Experience in business development, including bid and proposal coordination.

High-level integrity and discretion in managing sensitive matters.

Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and deliver projects within scope and deadlines.

You will also be:

Self-directed with strong planning and prioritisation skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement experience.

Remuneration:

Competitive salary $98, 478 to $104,165 p.a. plus superannuation

Qualifications:

Essential: Nil

Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in business or project management or similar and relevant industry experience.

Special Conditions:

The role will be offered full-time (1.0 FTE), initial 12-month term contract.

Satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check (NPC) required prior to employment.
