About the Role

Join Downer's dynamic team as a Heavy Diesel or Plant Mechanic, working across both workshop and field environments. Based on the Sunshine Coast, you'll play a key role in maintaining the reliability of our fleet and equipment, ensuring safety and performance across multiple sites.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same-perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-first environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform service, repairs, and maintenance on heavy plant machinery and trucks
• Provide breakdown support and fault diagnostics in the field
• Ensure all work meets Downer's safety and operational standards
• Collaborate with a skilled team while also working independently when required

What You'll Bring

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel or Plant Mechanics
• Strong hydraulic knowledge and fault-finding skills
• Experience with mobile plant and equipment
• Auto electrical experience (highly regarded)
• HR and Forklift licences (desirable)
• A proactive attitude and commitment to safety
