We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to take charge of our kitchen operations, lead our culinary team, and drive menu innovation while ensuring operational excellence.

Your Key Responsibilities

As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the overall daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation and production.

• Designing and updating menus that balance creativity, cost-efficiency, and customer preferences.

• Leading, mentoring, and training kitchen staff to ensure consistency and high performance.

• Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain food cost margins.

• Ensuring that all food is prepared and presented according to recipes and quality standards.

• Maintaining strict food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in accordance with local health regulations.

• Coordinating stock ordering and inventory control in line with business needs and budget.

• Collaborating with front-of-house and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Who We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher (or equivalent experience).

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume or quality-driven restaurant.

• Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach.

• A deep understanding of stock control, cost management, and kitchen budgeting.

• Proven ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.

• Creativity and confidence in delivering a modern Australian menu with seasonal influence.

• Commitment to workplace health and safety and maintaining hygiene standards at all times.
