Working with us

  • for 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,500. If you stay for 2 years you will get AUD$10,500… and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will get AUD$7,000.

In your downtime, we will provide 2 return airfares p.a. (inc. spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave; of which we offer 5 weeks p.a. with a 17.5% loading/bonus.

  • Base salary ranges between $82,753 and $106,144 p.a. (Nurse Grade 5).
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
  • Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
  • Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.

Cloncurry is a Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) that has 15 acute care beds, 10 Aged Care beds, Community Health Centre, X-Ray department, renal unit and Pharmacy. Visiting services include Child Health, and Immunisations, working closely with Central West Queensland Medicare Local, Centacare and Blue Care. A range of visiting specialists include Paediatrician, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, General Surgeon, Woman's Health Nurse, Renal Nurse Practitioner.

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Cloncurry MPHS delivers safe compassionate clinical care; working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes. The RN engages in reflective, analytical practice through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of direct person-centred care. The RN continually improves their skills and knowledge developing from graduate to highly skilled Registered Nurse.

Requirements

  • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
  • Appointees will also be required to participate in an on-call roster.
  • The position may involve travel to various facilities or units within the NWHHS.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
