The Role:

JPEM is currently seeking qualified Electrical & Mechanical Technicians for various roles in the NSW Hunter Valley / Muswellbrook area. We have permanent & casual positions available in the CHPP and Maintenance areas along with mobile mining maintenance areas.

Duties will include:

Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor/maintenance supervisor

Operate/maintenance and monitor the CHPP to optimize production

Identify, report and act on all hazards and comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Management System

Perform first response breakdown maintenance tasks as required

Stacking and reclaiming operations

Maintain CHPP equipment as requested during scheduled maintenance periods

About you:

Very Reliable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic

Highly Motivated

Problem solving and decision-making skills

Candidate must have an Electrical OR Mechanical trade qualification

Ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge and information

Ability to work in a team environment and effectively resolve conflicts with fellow team members

Ability to take accountability for their own work and development

A committed attitude towards safety

The ability to learn new skills

Requirements for the role:

Certificate of Proficiency (Mechanical/Electrical trade certificate)

CHPP Production or maintenance experience (preferred)

Mobile mining maintenance/ field experience

Capacity to pass Order 43 Medical

Current NSW White Card

Working at Heights (preferred)

CPR, Low Voltage Rescue & Resuscitation

Current drivers licence

Highly regarded qualifications/but not essential:

High risk work tickets (EWP, Forklift, Dogging, Rigging)

HV Switching Certificate or willingness to complete certification

Current Order 43 Medical
