Position available: Criminal lawyer

We are seeking a lawyer with demonstrated experience and a strong interest in criminal law and generalist practice areas. The successful candidate will possess at least 2 years post-admission experience and hold an unrestricted practising certificate. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse legal matters and contribute meaningfully to our clients' outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Criminal Law Advocacy: Represent clients in criminal law matters, including court appearances, case preparation, and advocacy.

Generalist Legal Practice: Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation across a variety of practice areas.

Legal Documentation: Draft and review legal documents, correspondence, and agreements with precision and attention to detail.

Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and remain informed about relevant legislation, case law, and procedural updates.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to deliver effective and holistic legal solutions, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum 2 years post-admission experience.

Unrestricted practising certificate.

Proven expertise in criminal law and generalist practice areas.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.

Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.

High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Commitment to ethical practice and delivering client-focused legal services.

Desirable Attributes:

Advocacy experience, including court appearances and negotiation skills.
