About the role
As Manager, Workplace Relations, you’ll lead the Department’s industrial negotiations, build a high-performing team, drive objectives, and minimise organisational risk.
- Undertake complex and critical case management across a range of employee and industrial relations issues.
- Represent the Department in industrial negotiations and industrial disputes.
- Lead and coordinate the Department’s industrial negotiation strategy.
- Supervise and manage two direct reports.
This is a permanent position located in Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport (to be negotiated).

- Has specialised expertise and experience in industrial relations.
- Is a proven leader with experience managing a team.
- Can motivate and gain the co-operation of others in the achievement of challenging, difficult, and sometimes conflicting objectives.
- Is an excellent communicator and able to provide authoritative advice.
