We’re looking to fill two Business Support Officer positions within the Environment and Regulation Group:
1 x Permanent Full Time - Compliance Support Team (Infringements)
Use your excellent interpersonal and organisation skills to help the Infringement Team within the Compliance Services Unit keep infringement operations running smoothly across the Environment and Regulation Group.
In this role you will:
Assist with issuing and processing infringement notices under Council’s Local Laws and State legislation
Provide friendly, accurate customer service - answer enquiries, explain processes, and help de‑escalate situations
Manage correspondence, records, documentation and logistics for infringements issued by the Environment and Regulation Group
Support financial tasks - invoices, receipting payments, contractor payments and quotes
Maintain and update compliance databases, track enforcement actions, and prepare data for monthly reporting
Assist with research and information gathering for audits and legal reviews
Look for ways to improve systems and workflows for greater efficiency
Build positive relationships with colleagues and external partners to resolve matters effectively.

1 x Maximum Term Contract - Plumbing Services Team
Put your strong organisational and communication skills to work supporting the Plumbing Services Team in delivering efficient, timely plumbing and drainage services to our community.
In this role you will:
Provide admin support - manage correspondence, organise meetings, screen calls and keep records accurate and up to date
Assist with processing plumbing applications, ensuring documentation is complete and timelines are met
Deliver excellent customer service – respond to enquiries, provide clear advice, and help resolve issues professionally
Monitor and coordinate application workflows, entering and updating data in Council systems
Prepare reports on application performance to track progress against service standards
Support financial tasks – calculate and receipt fees, raise invoices and requisitions, and maintain accurate financial records
Contribute to improving systems and processes to make workflows smoother and more efficient
Build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
This role is varied and fast‑paced, with your contribution ensuring timely, high‑quality plumbing services across the community.
