Strathfield Golf Club is seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds & Garden Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the clubhouse surrounds and assist with gardening work on our beautifully maintained golf course.

This hands-on role reports to the Golf Course Manager and works closely with our on-site Horticulturist. It offers a stable weekly schedule of four 8.5-hour days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), with Wednesdays and weekends off.

Hours:

5:30am – 2:00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Morning Duties (Clubhouse Areas):

General tidying and cleaning around clubhouse balconies, café, car park, proshop, course bathrooms, and loading dock.

Afternoon Duties (Golf Course):

Assist with weeding, mulching, and general garden maintenance

Support the team with upkeep of golf course garden areas and surrounds

Requirements:

Physically fit and capable of outdoor manual work

Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently

Willingness to work early morning hours

Experience in gardening, landscaping, or maintenance (preferred but not essential)
