Hamilton Island is seeking an enthusiastic and sales-driven Reservations Agent to join our high-performing Contact Centre Sales team in Sydney. If you're passionate about sales, guest experience, and creating unforgettable holidays - this could be your next big move.
Based in our St Leonards office, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective guests - delivering personalised recommendations, converting enquiries into bookings, and playing a key role in shaping exceptional stays on Hamilton Island.

Where you'll make an impact
Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings via phone, email, and live chat across both direct and trade channels
Using your product knowledge to tailor guest experiences and recommend accommodation, packages, tours, and dining
Maximising revenue through strong call conversion rates and meeting individual sales KPIs
Building relationships with key trade partners and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Keeping up to date with all Hamilton Island promotions, offerings and updates to provide accurate, current information
Supporting the wider Contact Centre team with ad hoc administration tasks as needed
What we're looking for
You're a confident communicator with a proven track record in sales and customer service - and you know how to turn an enquiry into an unforgettable experience. With your strong attention to detail and positive energy, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that rewards initiative and drive.
To be successful, you will need:
Minimum 1 year experience in a sales-based travel industry role (Desirable)
Contact/Call Centre experience (Desirable)
Tertiary travel qualification (Desirable)
Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and KPIs
High level of written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service mindset and a passion for delivering outstanding results
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly
Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment

About Hamilton Island Enterprises
History
From its original settlement by the Ngaro Aboriginal tribe, to its visit by Captain Cook in 1770, and evolution as a tourist destination in the 1970s and 1980s, Hamilton Island has had a long and interesting history. The island was purchased by renowned Australian winemaker, Bob Oatley, in 2003, and since, has become one of the world’s leading holiday destinations.
Environment
While there is an abundance of restaurants, bars and resorts on Hamilton Island, only a third of the island is developed - meaning the rest remains in its pristine, natural state. There are more than a dozen walking trails through which guests can explore the island.
Infrastructure
Every year, the Oatley family invests millions of dollars in improving the accommodation, infrastructure and services available on Hamilton Island. This includes ensuring that waste is disposed of in the most environmentally-friendly manner - and is re-used wherever possible - as well as making sure power sources are utilised in the most efficient way.
