Position Available: FIFO Experience Heavy Diesel Mechanic - 8/6 Roster (Multiple States)

Falcon Diesel currently has exciting opportunities for FIFO Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team on an 8/6 rotating days and nights roster. You'll be working in the surface workshop on underground mining equipment for a leading mining company.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting mechanical repairs and maintenance on underground mining equipment

Demonstrating expertise in load & haul operations, with previous exposure to CAT equipment being highly desirable

Performing diagnostic assessments and utilizing diagnostic programs effectively

Collaborating effectively within a team environment to achieve shared goals

Knowledge, skills and qualifications we’re looking for;

Previous experience with underground mining equipment - Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, Volvo, CAT AD haul trucks and R2900 boggers

CAT XE experience desirable

Australian recognized trade certification

Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance skills

Ability to obtain or hold a National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months

Underground mining experience and familiarity with shift work

Background or training from OEMs highly regarded

Familiarity with diagnostic programs
