Full Time Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 p/a

Ausfront Pty Ltd - Modern Group is a division of one of the largest home improvement companies in Australia with a reputation for selling and installing the highest quality home improvement products in the market. We are currently offering a number of full-time roles that would be well suited to a high quality, experienced and professional roofing trades people.

The work will be ongoing and primarily involve Roof Tiling / Cleaning / Maintenance and Coating along with associated work. All scheduling and ordering is handled by our service department and product can collected on a daily basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Installation Tasks

Lay roofing tiles in accordance with plans and specifications

Identify and colour match tiles

Align tiles properly to ensure effective drainage and appearance.

Cut tiles using hand or power tools to fit edges, corners, and roof penetrations.

Install barge boards, ridge caps, valley tiles, and flashing where required.

Waterproof roof surfaces and ensure installation is leak-proof.

Maintenance and Repair

Remove broken or damaged tiles and replace with matching materials.

Re-bed and re-point ridge capping as needed to restore integrity and aesthetics.

Inspect and maintain roof ventilation systems and flashing integrity.

Replace or repair valley irons

High Pressure Clean Roof surfaces and guttering

Coat Roof surfaces as required – fungicide treatment / membrane coating

Site and Safety Compliance

Prepare roof surfaces, battens, and underlay materials before tile installation.

Use scaffolding, ladders, fall protection systems, and PPE in accordance with WA safety standards.

Maintain a clean and safe work area, removing debris and leftover materials.

Teamwork and Communication

Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project completion.

Communicate with supervisors and clients to clarify requirements and report progress.

Accurately complete job documentation, checklists, and compliance forms.

Skills and Competencies

Essential

Proven tile-laying skills using concrete, clay, slate, and composite tiles.

Knowledge of roof structures, waterproofing systems, and drainage principles.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and roofing specifications.

Competence working at heights and handling physically demanding tasks.

Attention to detail to ensure high-quality finish and correct alignment of tiles.

Desirable

Experience with roof coating application

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

Certificate III in Roof Tiling or Equivalent

Relevant experience as a Roof Tiler, including work on pitched residential roofing systems.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a roofing team.

Experience working in Australian or similar construction environments is an advantage.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions across metropolitan and regional sites.

Physically demanding role including lifting, bending, working at heights, and using ladders and scaffolding.

This is a Full-Time role and work may involve early starts, overtime, and weekend shifts depending on project timelines.
