Location: located opposite Roma St Parklands, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital is just a short walk to Brisbane city

We are inviting applications for a part time acting Level 3 Credentialled Diabetes Educator to join our team at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital.
The role is Fixed Term Part Time (0.7 FTE): 56 hours per fortnight.
As a Credentialled Diabetes Educator at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital you will be responsible for.
- the support and education for people with Diabetes (Newly diagnosed, T1DM and T2DM) as inpatients
- coordinating the access to the NDSS
- planning, development, implementation and evaluation of education to our nursing teams, and
- management of the hospital blood glucose meters ensuring excellence in patient and staff outcomes.
The position will require working with multiple teams, VMPs and direct patient contact whilst being responsible for currency of own knowledge and accountable in your work practice.
What makes a difference for us?
- Registered Nurse with Bachelor qualifications (minimum) and registered with AHPRA.
- Credentialled as a CDE with the ADEA, or actively working towards initial credentialing.
- Registered provider with the NDSS
Preferable experience
- minimum five (5) years post graduate experience,
- work as a Credentialled educator in a hospital setting.
- Understanding of CSII / CGM technology
- Micro credentials favoured
