The company supplies a full range of rigid and electric drive mining haul trucks, spare parts, product maintenance and overhaul service. Aury NHL Mining Pty Ltd offers seamlessly integrated unmanned solutions with capacities ranging from 50 to 360 tons for the mining industry.

As a part of our business and project expansion, we are now seeking a long-term, full time mechanical engineer to join our team in Rutherford. The position will play a vital role in our day to day operations and will provide essential and professional support to the project team on site.

No requirement to work on mining sites.

Role Description

This is a full-time, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mining haul trucks and other heavy equipment.

• Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical issues

• Checking metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments

• Performing preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, and ensuring all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.

• Accurate record-keeping and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Facilitate the communication and understanding on technical issues between the clients, onsite project team and the NHL technical team based in China.

• Conducting repair and overhaul of the major components such as wheel groups and transmissions and hydraulic cylinders.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (Certificate of Proficiency)

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair

• Recent, relevant experience with mining, heavy industry vehicle (330 t payload) assembly, operations and maintenance projects

• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment inspections

• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Proven track record in preventive maintenance practices

• Ability to follow safety and environmental regulations

• Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills

• A relevant trade qualification or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field

• A minimum of 3 years experience in heavy mobile equipment or relevant experiences in maintenance, repair, and servicing of mining haul trucks and other heavy equipment

• Fluent in Mandarin and English with high competency in writing Chinese and English is a preferred advantage
