About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to undertake designated duties under the supervision of Patient Food Services Supervisor within the scope of Food Services responsibilities ensuring an effective and efficient standard of work. Assist with the production of sandwich and cold food items as well as the preparation, plating, distribution of patient meals and mid meal beverage service as directed and an ability to interpret patient diet list for ward services.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Ability to work within the demands in a fast-paced environment whilst still maintaining customer service focus and satisfaction in providing efficient service to STARS patients coworkers and stakeholders.
• Ensure that all aspects of the Food Safety Management System are adhered to at all times and codes of practice are implemented within their respective areas of operation.
• Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
• Be available to work across a 7-day rotating roster involving Am and Pm shifts from 05.30am to 15.30 (when the last shift starts).
