About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Maintenance Technician / Electrician to join our team in Box Hill North, Victoria.

Reporting to the Operations Manager:

Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as continuous batch washing machines, dryers, ironer lines, conveyors, compressors, and pumps

Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contractors, motor starters, etc. as needed (low voltage)

Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.

Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment

Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs

Conduct other ad-hoc tasks as required

In this role, you will work a changing shift schedule and on a rotating weekend. 38 Hrs. per week plus overtime and rotating weekend work.

About You

As the successful applicant, you will be a Maintenance Technician that has:

Experience with Pneumatics, mechanics, basic repairs and fabrication.

The ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.

Excellent time management skills

The ability to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.

Basic knowledge of computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software

Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is an asset and will be looked upon favourably.

Consideration will be given to individuals with laundry equipment repair and maintenance experience.
