Carers Queensland is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to oversee the delivery of the NDIS Local Area Coordination Partner in the Community (LAC) program across the Sunshine Coast and Gympie region. About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Area Manager will lead and manage service delivery across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support aligned with NDIS requirements. You will foster a strong customer service and outcomes focus, a safe and positive high-performance team culture, drive the achievement of contractual and organisational goals and targets, and build strategic partnerships that enable more inclusive communities. This position is based at our Maroochydore office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of experienced staff to deliver high-quality, high-volume, culturally safe, and timely services.
- Drive high levels of customer satisfaction by listening and responding to the needs of our customers and community.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, safeguarding practices, and organisational policies.
- Lead your team effectively through ongoing change impacting their roles and the disability sector.
- Drive team performance through coaching, mentoring, and leadership.
- Build collaborative internal and external relationships to enhance program outcomes.
- Monitor and report on quality, performance, and risk to senior management.
- Manage accountability for site outcomes.

What You Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Health, Social Work, Business, or similar
- Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience, preferably within the NDIS or disability sector
- Deep understanding of person-centred and human rights-based approaches
- Proven ability to lead performance, quality, and compliance across multisite teams
- Energy, empathy, creativity and an ability to build and maintain a team committed to delivering on a vision that improves the lives of people with disability, their families, carers and community.
