Remuneration: $74,611.01 to $82,329.39 per annum pro rata + superannuation + salary sacrifice
The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and developing a range of digital and print material in collaboration with the wider communications and design team, and relevant to the needs of the organisation and our Member Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS).
In this role, you will create promotional, educational and event-based print and published content for a variety of audiences and stakeholder groups to facilitate the company’s education, training, and sector support work. This includes the organisation's annual report, newsletter, e-bulletins and other print and digital materials such as brochures, flyers, booklets, intranet and website material.

About You
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Possession of a relevant qualification in graphic design, multi-media, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in a graphic design role.
- Illustration skills with an ability to be creative and innovative with attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge and application of design software packages including Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator and InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of web-based content management systems.
- Good time management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise and coordinate workload and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills – able to communicate with clients and external visitors, managers and staff at all levels and present a professional image.
- Demonstrated ability to uphold the principles of cultural safety including an ability to communicate sensitively
Ideally, in addition to be above, we are looking for someone who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by their community.
Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment. Applicants for this position must be legally entitled to work in Australia and will be required to provide evidence of this entitlement, such as an Australian passport or birth certificate.
The position involves working within a multicultural organisation where the majority of employees, clients and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
