The Telecommunications Lines worker at DJRC Group plays a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and integration of wireless and fixed network infrastructure, including mobile base stations and microwave links. This hands-on position involves working closely with project managers and technical leads to ensure high-quality, safe, and timely delivery of telecommunications projects. Lines Worker will troubleshoot network issues, perform upgrades, and support site commissioning, contributing directly to DJRC Group’s reputation for excellence in telecom deployment across Australia.
As part of your role with DJRC Group, you will be based in Perth, Western Australia; however, this position requires you to travel and work across various locations throughout Australia, including interstate travel by both road and air from time to time. All deemed travel time will be paid at single time rates. Please note that overtime will not be applicable during travel periods unless expressly approved in advance. Your flexibility and commitment to working in different regions are essential to supporting the successful delivery of our national telecommunications projects.
Duties will include:
· Installation, testing and maintenance of telecommunications equipment mounted on high structures, including radio towers.
· Assessing installation requirements, planning and performing installations.
· Testing installed equipment and fault-finding on existing equipment.
· Following all Client and Industry specifications, standards and HSE guidelines.
· Reading and interpreting construction drawings to successfully complete works to a high-quality standard.
· Adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments.
· Ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed and submitted to our office in a timely manner.
· Submitting relevant documentation on completion of works including photographic documentation as required by our clients.
To be considered for this role you need:
· A minimum of 5-year industry experience.
· Physical strength and agility to perform the work required.
· A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
· Current Certificate in Rigging RB
· Work Safely @ Heights Certificate.
· Tower Rescue Certificate.
· Current High-Risk Work License.
· Competency based qualification and experience with Elevated Work Platforms (EWP).
· First Aid Certificate.
· RadHaz Certificate.
· Construction White card.
· Driver's License
