Fred NT are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Plumber to join us on a full-time basis, performing works within Indigenous communities across the top end of Northern Territory.

Duties & responsibilities:

Assist with construction and installation of sewer mains, including gravity and rising mains

Support the building and fit-out of sewer pumping stations

Carry out water and sewer service installations to properties

Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing leaking water mains, unblocking sewers, and maintaining sewer ponds

Respond to water leak and plumbing-related call outs under panel contract agreements

Equip and maintain water bores, including bore augmentation and rising mains

Prepare and organize materials and equipment for transport to remote communities

Accurately record job progress and time sheets using an iPhone and ServiceM8

Collaborate effectively within a team to deliver both project-based and reactive works

Follow safety and operational procedures across various civil plumbing projects

Experience & attributes:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil or plumbing-related works is desirable

Current motor vehicle driver’s licence

White Card (General Construction Induction)

Plumbing certificate or licence (required if employed in a plumber role)

Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment

High-risk work licences (desirable but not essential)

HR (Heavy Rigid) driver’s licence is an advantage

Confined space entry training completed within the last 12 months is desirable

First aid certification completed within the last 24 months is preferred

Willingness to learn and support a variety of project and maintenance tasks

Salary package options:

Flat rate from $60 - $80/hr + $100 overnight allowance

$45 - $55/hr for first 40 hours of the week, then any after this at 2x + $100 overnight allowance (e.g. 70-hour week with 7 nights away would earn 40x $45 + 30x $90 + 7x $100)
