About the role
Analytical Services Tasmania (AST) provides testing services to government, businesses and members of the public.
In this role, the Laboratory Technical Officer will:
- Prepare and perform analysis of samples.
- Produce results in accordance with quality control requirements.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain specialised laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Maintain laboratory records including receipt and registration of samples.
- Complete associated administrative duties.
Our ideal candidate has
- Expertise in laboratory methods and practices.
- Knowledge of laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures within a NATA accredited environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- A Certificate III or Certificate IV in laboratory operations or an equivalent.
