About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to join our team at DMS Electrical in Ballarat, VIC. This full-time position will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the electrical contracting industry and contribute to the success of our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Senior Estimator in preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical projects

Support the Project Managers in the coordination and execution of electrical projects

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth delivery of projects

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project costs and timelines

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our estimating and project management processes

Participate in site inspections and meetings as required

What we're looking for

Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders

Familiarity with electrical estimating and project management software (e.g. Simpro)

Relevant experience in the electrical contracting industry, preferably in an estimating or project management role

A qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field would be highly advantageous
