About the role

Jonesy & Sons Mechanical, a newly established automotive repair and maintenance company, is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join their team in Thornton, NSW. As a Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of vehicles by providing expert diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services. What you'll be doing

Accurately diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension problems

Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tune-ups

Use specialised tools and equipment to carry out repairs in a safe and efficient manner

Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used

Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns

Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and industry best practices

Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop

What we're looking for

A heavy diesel or equivalent knowledge of working on trucks and cars

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanic, preferably in a similar automotive repair and maintenance environment

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear and understandable manner

A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate a range of automotive tools and equipment for a mobile jobs

A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
