Full time hours preferred (part time for the right candidate)

In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing, diagnosing, and providing speech therapy services to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their communication goals and fostering their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine speech, language, and communication disorders among NDIS participants through evaluation of speech sounds, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, fluency, and swallowing abilities.
Individualised Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings, participant goals, and NDIS guidelines employing evidence-based interventions specific to communication challenges.
Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions to address speech sound disorders, language disorders, fluency disorders, and communication difficulties.
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication): Assess, recommend, and implement AAC strategies and devices when necessary to support non-verbal or minimally verbal participants.
Family and Caregiver Support: Collaborate with families, caregivers, support coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to educate and involve them in the therapy process, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and document participant progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
NDIS Compliance: Ensure compliance with NDIS reporting requirements, documentation standards, and ethical practice guidelines.
Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and NDIS policies relevant to speech therapy.
Clinical Supervision: Participate in and facilitate effective and beneficial clinical supervision for junior staff. Utilising all components of effective supervision inclusive of Educational, Administrative, and supportive approaches in both a reflective and client facing setting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
Proven experience in providing speech therapy services to individuals with disabilities.
Knowledge of NDIS guidelines and processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassion, patience, and a commitment to improving the lives of NDIS participants.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain), and/or an NDIS worker screening check.
A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
