About the role

Forsight Australia is seeking passionate and dedicated Casual Active Support Workers to join our team in our Pines Home in Marrickville. In this role, you will provide personalised support to adults with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and participate actively in their local community.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating community engagement and participation through outings, leisure activities, and social events

Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their individual needs and preferences are met

Collaborating with the wider support team to develop and implement holistic care plans

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support client wellbeing and care

Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field, or studying towards, and/or at least 6 months experience in a similar role, supporting adults with a range of disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a flexible, adaptable approach to supporting clients' needs

A genuine passion for empowering individuals and promoting their independence and inclusion

Able to work well as part of a diverse team

A current and unrestricted NSW driver's licence

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Unrestricted right to work in Australia

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

Flexibility with your availability for shifts on a 24/7 roster (including sleepover shifts).
