This is an exciting time to come on board! As we introduce this leadership role, you’ll have a timely opportunity to bring your ideas and help shape the future direction of Council’s ICT operations.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead teams responsible for delivering our operational, governance, risk, and cyber-security ICT functions. Your leadership will drive:

  • Strategic planning for future IT investments and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Oversight of enterprise applications, including the Microsoft suite and ERP systems.
  • Management of network and infrastructure portfolios to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Development of enterprise architecture to support high-performing applications, systems, and processes.
  • Delivery of helpdesk and end-user computing services to support Council’s diverse internal customer base.
  • A high-performance, customer-focused team culture that embraces continuous improvement, innovation and new ideas for 30+ team members.

About you

You bring extensive experience in providing leadership and strategic direction for an information technology function, and you're excited by the opportunity to apply your expertise in this key role.

As a natural people leader, you have a proven track record of guiding multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement technology strategies aligned with business goals, while successfully leading organisational change in a similar environment.

You possess a strong understanding of ICT governance, risk and cyber-security solutions and bring an analytical, strategic mindset. You also offer valuable insights into emerging technology trends and developments, and how they can be applied to enhance operations.

With your demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and become a trusted source of advice, you’ll quickly become a valuable member of our leadership team.
