We’re Laburnum Psychology, a friendly and down-to-earth team of psychologists in Blackburn. Right now, we’re looking for a warm, personable, easy-going psychologist to join our lovely team. If you're someone who values genuine connection with both clients and colleagues, you’ll fit right in.

You’re never on your own - Each of our clinicians is part of a small team led by a dedicated Team Leader, ensuring personalised support and connection. We offer regular supervision, which can be provided by one of our experienced internal supervisors or an external supervisor, depending on what best suits your goals and preferences. On top of this, our leadership and clinical teams are always open to informal chats, debriefs, and day-to-day check-ins. This culture of support is at the heart of who we are as a practice.

A thoughtful intake system - Our full-time intake worker does a brilliant job of matching new clients to your experience and interests. They also help manage your caseload at the right level for you and your existing clients. Our clinicians have autonomy over their own caseloads and diary structure.

Diverse clinical presentations - We’re a well-established practice with a steady flow of referrals, so you’ll see a variety of clients while still being able to focus on your preferred areas. There may be opportunity to conduct assessments if you are interested in this work. We account for plenty of report writing time in your diary.

Ongoing learning and development - We conduct monthly team supervision led by our Principal Psychologist (and accredited Schema Therapist). We also offer monthly peer supervision. These groups are all optional based on individual needs and learning goals.

Stability and financial peace of mind - We offer salaried roles (not contractor positions), so you’ll enjoy a consistent income and won’t feel pressure to overbook your diary. We also offer generous commissions on top of a very reasonable KPI.

Phenomenal admin support - Our admin team is genuinely amazing. They go above and beyond to make life easier for our clinicians every single day.

Structured onboarding - We provide a structured induction process to help you settle in well. You will definitely not turn up to a full caseload as its important to take time to get to know the practice, your colleagues and build up slowly with new clients.
