We are expanding into Northern Queensland, with new commercial projects underway in Townsville—and we're on the hunt for our next amazing team members to help lead DGE’s growth in the region.

The Role

As a commercial electrician at DGE, you will work alongside our team of skilled Electrical Apprentices, Electrical Supervisors, Project Managers, and Engineers. Based in Townsville, you will gain hands-on experience and training to develop your skills and knowledge within the electrical industry. This is a full-time position offering opportunities for growth and professional development in a supportive environment.

You will have the opportunity to work across areas of electrical projects and construction projects including:

General power and communication installations for office fit outs and restaurants

Small works, repairs, installations, and service maintenance

Medical electrical projects

Unique upgrades and projects such as building MSB upgrades

Field lighting projects

Key Responsibilities:

Assist project managers and supervisors with day-to-day construction tasks on various electrical projects.

Support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, following safety regulations and standards.

Participate in the troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical issues, developing your problem-solving skills.

Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Engage in regular team meetings, providing updates on your progress and contributing to project discussions.

Supervise apprentice tasks, ensuring work is completed correctly and in line with compliance and quality standards.

Requirements:

Queensland Electrical License

CPR certificate

Open class 'C', manual drivers license

Construction white card

Ability to carry out overtime if required

EWP and high risk licenses
