Based in Melbourne’s CBD, this practice is home to a team that’s closing in on 30 strong, with a reputation built on excellence, trust, and teamwork. Most of the lawyers here are Accredited Specialists, and every one of them brings a calm head and a clear sense of purpose to some of the most complex and emotionally charged family law matters out there.
They’re looking for a Senior Associate with at least five years’ post-admission experience. Whether you’re already accredited or planning to be, what matters most is your ability to think clearly, act with integrity, and guide clients through tough territory with both technical skill and human sensitivity. You’ll handle a mix of property and parenting matters, with the freedom to lean more into the areas you prefer. If you’re stronger on property than parenting – or vice versa – the team will do what they can to shape the workflow around your strengths.
There’s no pressure to bring in business, no “eat what you kill” mentality. Just good work, done well, in a setting that runs like a modern business should. That means paperless systems, excellent tech, and a 2:1 ratio of lawyers to legal assistants – so you can stay focused on legal strategy, not stapling documents. It also means a hybrid working week: three days in the office (Tuesday and Wednesday are set, the third is up to you) and two days working from home. They’re open to part-time arrangements, too – three days a week minimum.
