Casual Position - Start times will vary (Our marine yard is impacted by tides)

$45 - $50 per hour

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of marine vessels within our yard. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for boats and maritime operations.

Responsibilities:

Perform general yard maintenance including high pressure washing of marine vessels.

Assist with shiplift of vessels and blocking onto hardstands.

Remove barnacles and clean boat bottoms and hulls as directed.

Handle and move trailered boats within the yard safely and efficiently.

Operate forklift in safe manner (Forklift licence is not essential though is preferred)

Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times.

Requirements:

Previous experience in boat handling, maintenance, or related field preferred.

Basic knowledge of marine systems, engines, and equipment.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physically fit and able to undertake some task that require a degree of strength and stamina including heavy objects.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
