ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The Project Architect - Capital Works is responsible for professional architectural services including design and project management, from initiation through planning, execution and completion for Council’s Infrastructure Services Capital Works Projects, including transport, buildings, open space and facilities, as well as managing consultants and contractors performing works on Council’s behalf. The focus of this role is on the design and delivery of capital works projects to ensure quality, functionality and cost-effectiveness in providing infrastructure services to meet the needs of Council, the community and Council’s customers.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Building Design, or Engineering, registration on the NSW Register of Architects and extensive experience in architectural design, documentation, contract administration and consultant management are essential in this role. Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and engineering standards used in infrastructure delivery services, and project budget management and funding of public infrastructure would be advantageous.
This position is offered on a term contract, full-time basis working 35 hours per week for 12 months.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 14 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a TRP of $151,000 - $167,315 per annum consisting of a base salary of $112,708 - $126,782, 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance, Motor Vehicle allowance of $18,168.97and 12% superannuation.
