Ventia have over 35 years' experience working with Defence and have provided ongoing Firefighting Services, with a new contract awarded in 2024 to provide 6 +2 +2 years. This is your opportunity to step into a 12-month fixed-term role supporting Fire and Rescue operations in Bandiana, VIC.

About the role
This exciting position will see you work as part of a team of Firefighters who are responsible for responding to incidents including structural and bushfire management, working 10/14 roster - 0800 to 1800 Day shift and 1800 - 0800 night shidt (plus any reasonable overtime). You will perform duties as directed by the Station Officers including but not limited to:

• Maintaining operational readiness in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Ensuring that all relevant administrative duties associated with operational duties are performed.
• Complying with operational health and safety requirements.
• Undertaking training and drills as required to maintain operational readiness.

Special conditions:
To be eligible for this role, you must be able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of Baseline. As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen, be able to pass an Australian Federal Police check and the ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical.

About You
You must supply evidence of the following qualifications with your application. (Only complete applications will be assessed). The following minimum qualifications are required:

• PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
• Hold a current MR drivers' licence
