We are currently seeking a Contract Administrator to join our team on a high-profile, multi-year civil infrastructure project in Northern NSW. This is a career-defining opportunity to contribute to the commercial success of a landmark regional development, with real community impact.

Position Description
About the Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing procurement processes, contract administration, risk management and commercial performance across the project. You’ll help ensure our contract governance processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with Local Government and disaster recovery frameworks.
You’ll work from the Armidale project office in the pre-construction phase, transitioning to a site-based role during construction (rostered work arrangements may apply).
Key Responsibilities
Support the tender, procurement, and contract award processes.
Administer contracts throughout the full project lifecycle including claims, variations, and performance tracking.
Monitor risk, manage compliance, and support reporting requirements under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Provide commercial and risk advice to project leadership and engineers.
Build strong relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders while maintaining probity and governance standards.
Maintain a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About You
Qualifications in construction law, engineering, commerce or related fields.
Significant experience in contract administration, ideally on civil or infrastructure projects in a local government or client-side setting.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical and solution-oriented, with strong attention to detail.
Able to work independently and thrive in a project environment.
Desirable
Postgraduate qualifications in law, project management, or construction management.
Experience with document and contract management systems (eg. Aconex, TeamBinder, Content Manager).
Familiarity with DRFA or disaster recovery projects.
