About the Role:

We have an opportunity for a motivated and reliable Food Production Cleaner to join our dedicated afternoon shift team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the production room is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, in line with food safety and hygiene standards, in preparation for the next day’s production.

Please note that this role is focused exclusively on cleaning – there is no production involved.

Shift hours are 6:00pm to 12:30am - Monday to Friday and Sunday. Rosters will be on a rotating schedule, with up to 38hrs available.

Students and VISA applicants welcome (19+)

Responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

High Pressure hosing for a majority of the shift

Cleaning and disinfecting production room - walls, floors, doors

Cleaning and sanitizing equipment inside production - Conveyors, belts, tables, trolleys

Lifting up to 25 kg

Working in cold & wet environment when cleaning

Safe handling of cleaning chemicals

Filling in related food safety documents in English

Reading and following cleaning instructions

The successful applicant will:

Have previous cleaning experience in a food production environment

Have previous experience in handling cleaning chemicals

Have own transportation

Be physically fit, as the role involves lifting, bending, and twisting

Not have nut allergies, as the role involves working in areas where nuts are used in food production

Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Having the ability to work autonomously as this is a sole worker position

Maintain high hygiene standards, both personally and in relation to food safety
