Graphic Designer

We’re looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to scope and deliver a wide range of design requirements - creating engaging visual assets that connect Thames & Hudson books with the broadest possible audience across diverse platforms, channels, and media outlets

This is a part-time position based at our Cremorne office in Melbourne, with the indicated salary to be pro-rated accordingly.

What you will do:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Publicity, you will:

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to interpret project requirements and translate them into creative concepts that support brand strategy and goals. You will be delivering branded visual assets such as social media graphics, Amazon A+ content, and print advertisements.

· Maintain a strong understanding of brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all design templates.

· Develop and oversee design assets and templates, including icons, illustrations, social media tiles and email communications.

· Create and maintain a library of digital assets including pre-existing templates, previous examples, graphics, up-to-date photography, situational imagery, illustrations and specifications to ensure visual consistency across the platform.

In addition, you will:

· Maintain and apply knowledge of current industry and technology, social media, competitive landscape and market trends.

· Contribute to specialised projects, process improvement and other initiatives including customer engagement, technology solutions and enhanced reporting requirements.

What we are looking for:

You have:

· Bachelor’s degree, post-graduate qualification or equivalent in Graphic Design or related field

· At least 2 years of hands-on experience producing creative marketing designs and assets.
