Our client is a vertically integrated mining and civil contractor delivering end-to-end project services across WA’s iron ore sector. With a growing mobile fleet at their iron ore project, they are now seeking experienced and trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join their site-based maintenance workshop to maintain their new fleet of mobile plant equipment.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance on a range of production mining equipment in a well-equipped mine site workshop.

Fleet includes:

CAT D10 and D11 Dozers

CAT 980M Loaders

CAT 777 Dump Trucks

Komatsu PC1250 Excavators

Key responsibilities:

Diagnose, service, and repair mobile plant equipment in line with OEM standards

Conduct scheduled maintenance, component change-outs and breakdown repairs

Perform hydraulic, engine, transmission, and electrical troubleshooting

Complete job cards, service reports and defect logs accurately

Liaise with supervisors and parts teams to ensure efficient service delivery

Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to PRG’s safety protocols

What We’re Looking For:

Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification – Essential

Experience working on large-scale mobile plant in a mining environment

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Valid C Class manual driver’s licence (HR highly regarded)

Sound understanding of safety in a high-risk workshop environment

Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen

Available for immediate FIFO mobilisation from Perth
