HauLec is a specialist electrical service provider operating in the NSW coalfields. We supply labour, technical support and parts to customers in the Hunter Valley, Gunnedah & Mudgee regions. We specialise in the service and support of Electric drive mobile equipment and are passionate about the work we do.

Qualifications & experience

Cert 3 electro-technology (electrician) or Cert 3 in Automotive Electrical

2 year + experience on mobile mining equipment. Rail & other heavy industries can be considered.

OEM experience highly regarded.

HV Switching ticket (HV Electricians only)

Current coal board medical desirable.

First aid/CPR/Low voltage rescue.

High risk work licences highly regarded.

Electrical Supervisors/Contractors Licence (HV only)

Must have right to work in Australia, visa positions are not available.

Tasks & responsibilities

Maintenance & breakdown works on High Voltage mining equipment, including but not limited to Komatsu, Hitachi, Letourneau, Liebherr, Unit Rig.

Maintenance of mining support equipment such as 2-ways, collision avoidance systems, fleet management/dispatch systems.

Air conditioning servicing and repairs.

Compile service reports & interact with customers.

Willingness to work away from home when required.

Ability to work safely & efficiently in breakdown situations.

Maintain safety standards at all times including: Adhering to site PPE requirements - Completing take 5's - Completing JSA's for complex tasks - Reporting & rectifying workplace hazards.

Overtime rate $85/hr for non-rostered shifts or hours beyond 87.5 per fortnight.
