About You

It's important to our client that you are aligned with the business on a values level, and that you're passionate about delivering that personalised service they're renowned for. In addition to that, you'll also:

• Hold tertiary qualifications in accounting with 4 + years of experience in public practice accounting firms
• You will hold a CA (or are close to completing it)
• Have strong technical expertise across the board (e.g. ITAA, Div 7A, FBT, CGT)
• Well-developed leadership skills, with capacity to mentor and coach junior accountants
• Highly developed communication skills - verbal, written, face-to-face
• Time & workflow management with attention to detail in respect to billing and disbursements
• Confidence with client engagement, including presenting and advising
• An analytical thinker, with the ability to conduct research and provide accurate advice
• Team-oriented approach, able to work independently and collaboratively
• Technologically proficient - with high level experience across Xero

About your day-to-day

While the below is not an exhaustive list, a regular day (if there is such a thing) may look something like:

• Preparing and reviewing financial packages, ITR, BAS, Balance Sheets, P&L's
• Conduct and review tax planning strategy, providing confident guidance to clients
• Attend and lead client meetings, providing said guidance & recommendations
• Mentor and review work completed by junior accountants
• Manage own workflow, deadlines, and billing targets
• Communicate progress and issues clearly to Managers/Directors
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism and commitment to continuous improvement
• Many of their clients thrive on the client-facing model - they love sitting down in a room and working on the business together - so you'll be in office, in front of clients
