Senior Corruption Prevention Officer
Let’s talk about the opportunity
The purpose of this role is to examine and review the laws governing, and the practices and procedures of NSW public authorities and public officials, and to educate and advise public officials with a view to reducing the likelihood of corrupt conduct and to promote the integrity and good repute of public administration. This work is performed in a range of contexts including investigations into alleged corrupt conduct, requests for advice, presentations and training workshops, and proactive preparation of advisory publications.
There are several full time permanent and temporary 18-month positions. Part time work will be considered. Current NSW Government employees interested in a secondment opportunity are encouraged to apply.
Annual salary is $151,236 to $168,143, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).

Essential requirements
Candidates will be assessed against the following requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, public administration, organisational development, law, accounting/auditing, psychology or a related discipline. Experience in management, risk management, design of internal controls, compliance, research, public speaking, education or business organisational analysis.
- A good knowledge and understanding of the machinery of government, legislative and policy processes. Legal qualifications are not required but some knowledge of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988 and the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022 is desirable.
- Developed and capable planning and organisational abilities, research, problem solving, writing and analytical skills.
- Developed communication skills including the ability to communicate with people of diverse background, occupation and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.
- A current NSW driver licence is desirable and the role requires occasional travel.
