  • Located in Parramatta or Macquarie Park with flexible working arrangements available
  • Salary ranges from $113,574 to $125,720 plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

As the Team Leader, Records Management Support, you will use your records management expertise to lead a team that delivers customer-focused support for records-related services across the Department and liaise with business units and schools to ensure effective recordkeeping practices.

You will oversee daily service delivery, resolve complex and escalated records issues, and improve records systems and processes.

About you

This role goes beyond simply handling records or data. You will bring strong leadership capabilities, proven experience in records management, and a thorough understanding of record compliance, standards and procedures.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Eligibility for professional membership with RIMPA, reflecting your industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Proficiency in TRIM, content manager or relevant record management software.
  • Experience using the State Records RMAT to assess the effectiveness and compliance of the Departments records management systems and processes.
  • Ability to resolve complex records-related issues efficiently.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration to deliver responsive records services and identify training needs to uplift departments capability and knowledge.

Knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • A Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
