About the role
ac.care is seeking a Senior Manager for Practice Excellence and Client Advocacy to play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality-of-service delivery within ac.care. This position focuses on promoting best practices in community service work and ensuring that client advocacy is at the forefront of our services. The Senior Manager will work collaboratively with leadership and service delivery staff across the organisation, along with client experts and other stakeholders, to implement quality improvement initiatives, safeguard clients, and foster an inclusive environment that prioritizes human rights and social justice.
The Senior Manager will be required to lead and contribute to effective governance across the organisation in relation to quality and safeguarding, including regular reporting to Board and senior management.
The role will be instrumental in supporting the organisation's strategic and operational goals through undertaking the following responsibilities:
Develop and maintain ac.care’s quality and safeguarding framework, policies, and procedures. Including guidance staff to achieve high quality client outcomes that are consistent and compliant with legislation.
Develop the organisation's quality and safeguarding capabilities, through training, educating and mentoring staff and key stakeholders
Coach managers to develop and monitor their own quality improvement processes to ensure best practice occurs and positive impact is achieved with clients
Champion client rights and empower clients to voice their needs, ideas and concerns through a wide variety of mechanisms.
Develop and implement organisational quality and safeguarding indicators to monitor trends and provide high-level data reporting.
Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of the organisation's practice audit methodologies and relevant client investigation processes
Engage with key stakeholders (internal/external) to maintain and foster key relationships
Support the operation of the Board’s Care Governance Committee including collaboration with the Chair for agendas, provision of reports and responding to questions

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
Bachelor's degree in social work, social sciences, psychology, or other relevant degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in the delivery of services.
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in leading practitioners with a focus on client safety and quality using effective clinical governance practices.
Demonstrated experience in working across multiple service types to create cultural and practical change.
Demonstrated experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and providing expert advice to multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership team and Board.
Demonstrated experience in leading internal audits and investigations and the preparation of detailed and complex reports and briefs.
Demonstrated experience in developing strong collaborative relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience establishing and embedding governance, reporting frameworks, and evaluating service quality and client safety.
