About the Pathway to Specialty Practice Program:
At St Vincent's, we use scholarly activities and innovation in our teaching strategies to prepare nurses for an ever-changing healthcare environment, where new technologies, treatments and areas of practice continue to emerge. We are seeking Registered Nurses for our 2026 Pathway to Specialty Practice (PSP) program who are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and strive to further develop their knowledge and clinical expertise. The PSP program includes an accessible e-learning platform, study day, and objective-based assessments.

Program Highlights:
The PSP program provides clinical experience to help you achieve your career goals:

  • Current Nursing Registration: You hold a current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA without conditions.
  • Educational Background: You have a degree in General Nursing that meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Professional Experience: You have successfully completed a Graduate Nurse Program OR have a minimum of 12 months of acute care nursing experience. Recent clinical experience in an acute care setting is highly desirable.
  • Guaranteed Employment: Ongoing employment is assured following the successful completion of this program.
