At Solinnov, we innovate and implement algorithms to make sense of complex signals in FPGA-based embedded real time systems. Our primary areas of development are wireless communications, electronic warfare, and radar.
Our areas of expertise include digital signal processing algorithm design, algorithm implementation on digital hardware systems, real-time embedded software design, and application software design.
IMPORTANT: Applicants must hold Australian citizenship and either have, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Defence security clearance (NV1) from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic person to provide IT and cybersecurity services in a high-tech environment. The role will entail providing technical support to staff, plus developing and implementing IM&T practices and policies in accordance with Australian government standards.
The right candidate needs to be creative, self-driven, well organised, have excellent collaboration skills, be able to work in a high-achieving team, and have a real passion for technology.
Duties will include the following:
Provide technical support across multiple sites for:
Microsoft Windows user laptops and workstations
Linux user laptops
Video conferencing and meeting rooms
Manage endpoint detection and response applications
Manage self-hosted on-premise and cloud-hosted services
Work with Solinnov's leadership to meet corporate IT goals including adherence to security standards
Develop and implement IT cybersecurity policy, including staff training
Develop, test, and document technical application control policies
Develop, test, document and exercise disaster recovery procedures
Develop, test and document software supply chain verification and vulnerability scanning methods
Liaise with vendors
Maintain asset registers and security documentation
Perform security monitoring and testing
You may be required to travel interstate for short periods on an adhoc basis from time to time
Experience with the following technologies is required:

Mandatory Requirements
Relevant degree or equivalent experience, and at least 5 years of post-study experience as Level 3 IT Technician.
Australian citizen and eligible for Australian security clearance (NV1)
Desired Skills
It would be helpful if you have used or have some basic familiarity with some of the following:
Scripting in a Linux environment in Bash, Python or Bourne Shell
Scripting in Powershell
IPv4 addressing and TCP/IP networking
Virtualisation technologies
Experience working in a Defence security environment
Familiarity with the Essential 8 and Information Security Manual
