Micronised Minerals Australia is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation maintenance, routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, continuous improvement and problem-solving issues as they arise. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess a diverse set of mechanical and metalworking skills.

This is a full-time day shift role, with occasional project-based mine-site work.

We are Northern Australia’s Lime specialist with a range of products and services supplying many industries including mining, oil & gas, agricultural and civil. The company produces a range of products in-house using an automated air swept milling plant and materials handling machinery.

And continue to develop safer and more efficient product handling systems to support our consumer demands.

Role

Coordinate maintenance with the management and operations staff.

Co-ordinate with contracted technicians for repairs and installations for works outside the company’s maintenance and repair capacity.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

Perform repairs, installations, inspections, and upgrades of equipment and facilities.

Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues.

Monitor and identify areas for improvement.

Identify and source required parts/tools.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Engage in daily warehouse/processing operations from time to time.

Qualifications/Experience

Fitting / Mechanical qualifications - Essential.

Fixed milling(grinding) and process machinery, mobile plant forklifts, loader and light vehicles – Desirable.

Knowledge of machine shop equipment; Lathe, and minor welding principals – Desirable.

Current First Aid Certificate.

High degree of communication and computer literacy skills.

Licenses and Experience

Current Drivers Licence - Essential

Current Forklift / Heavy equipment Licence- Essential

EWP License – Desirable.

Knowledge of heavy equipment use (Container forklifts, Front End Loaders, etc.) – Desirable
