ABOUT THE BUSINESS & THE ROLE
This role is for a self-employed contractor working an average of 3-4 days/week, turning over $100k-$110k by operating a mobile rock climbing wall and entertaining children at community events.
Our support office sources and confirms all events. The role has instant cash flow, with a full calendar of events lined up for an immediate start.
Base Zero is a mobile adventure company; we help kids be brave and proud of themselves by taking on a challenge.
Successful applicants will have a hands-on, energetic personality, be fit and healthy, and have patience and a passion to help kids be brave.
All equipment & orientation are provided by Base Zero; you will require a suitable vehicle to tow a trailer and be a minimum of 25 years of age to be covered under our company insurance.
WORK HOURS AND REVENUE:
Working just 3-4 days/week on average and turning over $100k-$110k allows you to enjoy a wonderful work vs. lifestyle balance. All events are hired based on prearranged revenue agreements. The successful candidate must be available to work on weekdays and weekends.
ORIENTATION:
You will be oriented to operate the equipment by our friendly team from the support office and out at events with our director.
OPERATING:
You work independently day-to-day whilst being supported by the broader Base Zero team.
Your primary role is to attend all the events that the support office arranges for you and help provide a wonderful customer experience.
You don't have to find the events; our support office team contacts clients and books the events for you.
Deliver multiple signature events, everything from school holiday vacation care activities to large corporate sporting and community events.
LIABILITY, TRAILER, & EQUIPMENT INSURANCE
It is all arranged, provided, and paid for by our support office.
STORAGE:
Storing the climbing wall at your premises allows you to work from home.
If you live near Toongabbie, Penrith, or Plumpton, the work is generally within 100km of Sydney.
We sometimes have events on the Central Coast, Canberra, Wollongong, and regional NSW.
REQUIRED CRITERIA:
Basic mechanical knowledge & towing experience.
Open driver's license with a good driving history record.
WWCC—' Working With Children' application approved.
Apply for your own ABN.
Basic computer administration skills required.
Own a 4WD vehicle with a 3-ton towing capacity.
Available to work on weekdays and weekends.
Showing initiative, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are key attributes.
Most of the skills required to perform this role can be taught.
Having a background in outdoor education, vacation care, sports & fitness, leisure, or support services will be highly regarded.
