Our company is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in engines, transmissions (manual and automatic), braking systems, and other key vehicle components

· Service and maintain vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications to ensure performance and safety

· Identify and resolve issues in steering systems, fuel injection, cooling systems, ignition, emissions, and charging systems

· Remove and replace defective or worn parts such as clutches, radiators, drive shafts, and electrical components

· Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid replacements, lubrications, and filter checks

· Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engine and mechanical parts with accuracy and attention to detail

· Use modern diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle performance and identify faults

· Perform test drives to confirm successful repairs and ensure vehicles operate efficiently

· Prepare accurate repair estimates, job cards, and service documentation for internal use and customers

· Carry out vehicle inspections and may issue or advise on requirements to obtain roadworthiness certification

Skills and Experience

· At least 1 year of full-time experience as a motor mechanic in a workshop or automotive service environment

· Certificate IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification

· Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate

· Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical and electrical vehicle systems

· Good understanding of vehicle servicing requirements and manufacturer standards

· Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet repair deadlines

· Experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment

· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

· Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
