Overview of role:
Join Coliban Water as our Finance Systems Lead, where you’ll lead strategic and operational management of our Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials platform. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure accurate and reliable financial data, optimise key processes across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and maintain the integrity of our finance systems.
You will drive system improvements, manage the backlog, and align platform capabilities with evolving business needs. As the Financial Management Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will play a key role in implementing and enhancing Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials as part of our Core Capability Uplift initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Finance Systems Lead, you’ll be accountable for:
Provide technical knowledge of financial IT systems and provide advice on continuous improvements including interdependent systems
Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of the data contained in, and functionality of, Coliban Water’s Financial platforms
Collaborate with finance leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, procurement, accounts, and other key financial processes
Identify opportunities for AI-driven enhancements such as intelligent automation, predictive analytics, or anomaly detection in financial operations
About you:
Proven experience as a Product Owner, Systems Lead or Product Manager within an enterprise financial system environment
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
CPA or CA qualification preferred
Hands-on implementation experience (Oracle preferred)

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $115,162 - $139,851 + Superannuation + superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.

Coliban Water was established on July 1, 1992 under the Water Act 1989 as a Regional Urban Water Authority.
Coliban Region Water Authority became the Coliban Region Water Corporation on July 1, 2007.
The Corporation is responsible to the Minister for Water, the Hon Lisa Neville MP, and our shareholder is the Victorian Government.
We are one of the larger Victorian Regional urban water corporations.
We manage, maintain and operate 35 reservoirs and water storage basins across North-Central Victoria and provide water and wastewater services to rural and urban customers across an area of 16,550 sqkm.
Our service region includes 49 towns, extending from Cohuna and Echuca in the north to Kyneton and Trentham in the south.
The western boundary incorporates Boort, Wedderburn, Bealiba and Dunolly and the eastern boundary includes Heathcote and Tooborac.
