About the role

Point Care' is seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Rockhampton, Queensland. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to clients within our disability support services. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

Providing social and emotional support to clients, engaging them in meaningful activities and outings

Advocating for clients' needs and preferences, ensuring they receive personalised, person-centred care

Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement individualised care plans

Maintaining accurate documentation and records related to client care

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

Experience working with extremely challenging clients.

Relevant qualifications in disability support, or a related field

Can work with mental health and behaviours

Physically active - can walk 10 kms daily

Previous experience in a similar support worker role, with a demonstrated commitment to client-centred care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a flexible and adaptable approach

A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of our clients

A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)

Available shifts include: 0600-1400, 1400 - 2200, 2200 - 0600(active nights) and 2200-0600(inactive nights).
